Cub Scout Fast Tracks Advancement Program Print E-mail

Each den in your pack has a unique opportunity this next school year. The “Fast Tracks” program is now available to all of your dens! A case study in effect for the last three years has proven to be a successful mechanism catering to today’s family dynamics, while still teaching lifelong lessons and delivering timeless values.
This program has had a lot of great results:

  1. Parents were more likely to become and stay leaders
  2. Increased communication
  3. Each boy advanced in rank per year
  4. Improved meeting attendance
  5. More boys staying in Scouts
  • Fast Tracks Flyer
In order for each den/pack to participate in this program during the 2008-2009 year, the Cubmaster of your pack must complete the information on the flyer and submit to Joanne Burfeind.

Several "Fast Tracks" trainings will be held in various parts of Crossroads of America Council this summer.  You may attend one of these training sessions simply to learn more about the program before you choose to use it or not.  If you decide to participate, though, each den leader and assistant den leader are encouraged to personally attend one training to be properly oriented on this program and how to use its materials for the greatest impact on Scout families.  We also encourage Cubmasters and pack Committee Chairs to become trained.  See training session opportunities below.  If you attended one of the local "Advancement Pilot" trainings within the last two years, it is not necessary to attend another one this year.  Please begin thinking and discussing with your pack leadership about your interest in using this specialized program this next year.

Your participation in this user-friendly program is very important to us because we think it can help you be a successful den leader and improve the Scouting program for our families!  You can help us provide enough materials for the training sessions by kindly e-mailing an RSVP for each leader planning to attend.  Contact Joanne Burfeind for any questions or to RSVP for one of the training sessions.
