Key popcorn information and dates for the 2006 popcorn sale.
Aug. 31st: Unit Popcorn Kernel Training at Noblesville First United Methodist Church,
@ 6:30 pm 2051 Monument Street, NoblesvilleTraining is for all Unit Popcorn Kernels and is used to distribute all needed materials for Sale administration. Trail’s End Giveaways & Prizes!!
IMPORTANT: Your Unit Popcorn Kernel (or designee) must attend this training (See Council for other training if you did not attend District Training)
Sept. 9th: Trails End Website Training for all Unit Popcorn Kernels. Held at Carmel High School,8 – 11 a.m. Computer Room. Enter through Main Entrance (Door 1 off of 131st/Main St.). Contact your District Popcorn Kernels for more information.
Sept. 17th: Show-N-Deliver Order deadline – Orders are placed on the Trail’s End website @ by 5 p.m. http://www.trails-end.com/ (No second order date is available). Orders must be in whole case quantities. You are responsible for placing your order directly on the TE website. Questions? Call your appropriate District Popcorn Kernel.
Sept. 29th: Show-N-Deliver Order Sorting – We appreciate anyone who comes Friday evening to 6515 Olivia Lane Indianapolis, IN @ 6 p.m. help sort. After sorting you can take your popcorn that evening. We will have pizza and drinks for those helping on Friday night.
Sept. 30th: SALE STARTS – Take Order Sale Begins! No early selling!
Sept. 30th: Show-N-Deliver Order Pick Up – Pick up your Show-n-Deliver Popcorn Order from 8 – 11 a.m. at 6515 Olivia Lane Indianapolis, IN
Oct. 14th: Del-Mi Blitz Day
Nov. 14th: Popcorn Return Deadline – Popcorn may be returned in unopened quantities (Partial cases but no open containers) to Camp Belzer from 1pm to 6pm on Tuesdays without appointment. Other wise contact Ranger Kevin Hobbs at 317-546-6031. No mixing of similar products allowed in the cases.
Nov. 18th: SALE ENDS – Obtain each Scout’s order and choice of prize(s). Ordering is entirely done on the Trail’s End website. At your option, boys/parents, or Leaders can input orders. We recommend orders be input as the sale progresses - don’t wait till the last minute to input hundreds of orders. Order by Individual Containers
Nov. 19th: Take Order deadline – Unit’s Popcorn Order and Prizes due online and by 5 p.m. must be completely input onto Trail’s End Website by 5:00 pm. Any $1500 prize order forms must be mailed (prior to due date) or delivered by this date to your popcorn kernel.
Dec. 1-2: Take Order Distribution – In order to better facilitate the flow of traffic at the pick up site ( 6515 Olivia Lane Indianapolis, IN) , the district's popcorn kernels have decided to use a scheduled pick up system on both Friday evening and Saturday morning. This system should help with congestion at the warehouse and provide a more positive experience for everyone involved. Nonetheless, since this is a new approach, we would appreciate your patience while we implement this new system. For safety concerns, no one under the age of 21 is allowed in the facility.Click on one of the following links to sign up for your pick up time and get all of the details of this new plan:
Dec. 2nd - Dec. 16th: Scouts deliver product, collect and turn in money.
Dec. 17th: Payment due and delivered for both Show-n-Deliver and the Take Order sale of by 5 p.m. Popcorn to your District Kernel: One check per Unit payable to: CAC/BSA.
(We’d be happy to accept payment from the Units earlier & will not cash until after due date.)
Special note for extra 3% profit for your Unit: If you wish to earn an extra 3% profit for your unit, you must complete these four things to qualify: - Your Unit Representative must attend District Popcorn Sales training on Aug. 31st.
- Your Unit must conduct a Unit Popcorn Kickoff (Verified by having sub units entered on popcorn system for Login/Password for scouts).
- Your Unit must place a Show-N-Deliver order on Sept. 17th, and your Unit must participate in the Take Order Sale during the sales period 9/30 – 11/18.
- Your Unit must have a sales increase from last year’s sale. Refer to Popcorn Website for last year’s information.
