Hooked on Scouting Fishing Derby Print E-mail

Hooked on ScoutingThe Del-Mi District will again be offering a Hooked on Scouting Fishing Derby this year to assist your pack with their Spring Recruitment Efforts.  As in years’ past, the event is a joining event for new Cub Scouts and their families, but this year, we will also be opening it up to existing Cub Scouts that recruit a friend to become a member of their Cub Scout Pack between May 1 and June 20.
Our Fishing Derby will be held on Thursday, June 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at West Park in Carmel.  For only $5 per Scout, we will provide hot dogs and refreshments to Scouts and their families.  This is a rain or shine event, so please help your families plan accordingly.

The district will have a limited supply of fishing poles, bait and tackle available to borrow.  If Scouts have their own, they are encouraged to bring it along.

If your pack is interested in using this event to recruit new families into your pack, please contact Shawn Way at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or (317) 813-7128.  He will explain more about the Spring Recruitment process and help you in setting up a Tiger Hunt or Spring School Night for Scouting at your school before it lets out for the year.
